Why This Project...
Our Matthew 25:36 Project “LA HERMOSA”...
Donnia and I don’t want to be only consumers of the blessings and support that God so richly blesses us with, we also have a desire to share the goodness of God and extend our ministry to reach into other ministries. We look for those ministries that have a good track record and are actually doing something for the Kingdom of God and helping the community and loving people.
La Hermosa and the children's ministry "Children for Christ" Daycare Center fits all the criteria and more. After the tragic loss of both the founders, Pastor Pedro and Norma Ravello, less than a year apart, things didn’t look good for the work to carry on, but thankfully their son and daughter-in-law Pastors Jonathan and Rosa Maria Ravello felt the call of God and returned to Peru from Argentina and have taken over the responsibilities of this very needed and fruitful work.
We, at Alexander Miniseries, want to be a part of what God is doing in this ministry. It is a lot of hard work to maintain the building, and feed and care for the children and all this is done with volunteer support and donations. We are not a ministry that tries to “play on the emotions” in order to get what is needed, but what we are doing is presenting the needs of an established ministry with a good track record and needs the help of others to continue.
You Can Make A Huge Difference!
If you would like to help us help them and sow into a good work and ministry, just click on the blue button below and make your donation today. 100% of the donations received for the La Hermosa Children of Christ project will go into that ministry in the form of food, clothing, school supplies and keeping the building maintained.
La Hermosa (The Beautiful)
HISTORICAL REVIEW OF THE CHURCH OF GOD PENTECOSTAL “LA HERMOSA”...
Around the year 1988 Pedro and Norma Ravello came to fulfill the work of God in the urbanization Pachacamac in Villa El Salvador. They started meetings at their home with neighbors on prayer nights. After seeing the needs of the families and the environment as a result of terrorism in Peru, they began to give breakfasts to the families in the vicinity.
Eventually a dining room was opened for the attention of the children, where they offered lunch to 350 children. Then the church, little by little, was built with the support of the children and brothers of that time and the Pentecostal Church of God "La Hermosa" was born. In 2016 our beloved pastors died leaving Pastors Jonathan and Rosa Maria Ravello in charge of the work, who are following with the same vision, mission and love that our pastors taught us.
Continuing with the work of the children's ministry called "Children for Christ", a daycare center was set up to care for low-income children, offering them breakfast, lunch and a pre-dinner dish. The center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We also serve children of pre-kinder education of 3 to 5 years old.
We currently serve 30 children (in total) from Monday to Friday. We also, as part of children's ministry work, have Sunday school every week with an attendance of 50 children of different ages. We have also expanded the work. We now have a work in Chincha Alto Laran and Nuevo Laran working with 80 children of low economic resources offering them lunches every Saturday and Sunday. We have been doing all of this work for the past 30 years for the glory of God.
