Our
Nations Christian Heritage

Is
rich and replete with the
strong faith of our founding
forefathers, the passion they
demonstrated and the depth of
character and devotion to God
is not hid to the eyes that
want to see and the ears that
want to hear.
Many today in our nation want
to paint a picture of our
nation as being set up by
Godless men who had no fear
of God and no regard for His
Word, this is simply not
true.
As I was praying about the
nation and for our leaders as
we have been instructed to do
in 1 Timothy 2:2, and for the
upcoming elections of our
nation this was in 2008, as I
begun to pray and call on God
to awaken us as a Christian
nation the Lord began to
speak to me in my spirit.
He said "you understand
that faith does not die, and
the words of faith that were
spoken by men like Samuel
Adams and John Adams and
Thomas Paine, George
Washington, the words of
faith they spoke over this
nation still have life in
them and I can honor those
words of faith if you will
ask me to". He reminded
me that just because a person
moves home to be with Him,
does not mean that the
prayers that they prayed
while on earth in faith
believing would not come to
pass.
Because while they still had
authority as a man in the
earth, they spoke out faith
filled words.
Jesus then advised me to pray
that the faith that was
spoken by these men not be
forgotten, but to be
remembered, so to awaken our
nation and intercede on
behalf of what was spoken
because there are still
powerful things that were
spoke by these founding
fathers to help our nation
and bring her back before a
just God.
Powerful Words about our
Nation
We
have no government armed
with power capable of
contending with human
passions unbridled by
morality and religion.
Avarice, ambition,
revenge or gallantry
would break the strongest
cords of our Constitution
as a whale goes through a
net. Our Constitution is
designed only for a moral
and religious people. It
is wholly inadequate for
any other. John Adams
US diplomat &
politician (1735 - 1826)
Power
always thinks... that it
is doing God's service
when it is violating all
his laws. John
Adams
The
Hebrews have done more to
civilize men than any
other nation. If I were
an atheist, and believed
blind eternal fate, I
should still believe that
fate had ordained the
Jews to be the most
essential instrument for
civilizing the nations.
John Adams
- John
Adams and John Hancock:
We Recognize No Sovereign
but God, and no King but Jesus!
[April 18, 1775]John
Adams:
The general
principles upon which the
Fathers achieved
independence were the
general principals of
Christianity
I will
avow that I believed and
now believe that those
general principles of
Christianity are as
eternal and immutable as
the existence and
attributes of God.
[July 4th]
ought to be commemorated
as the day of deliverance
by
solemn
acts of devotion to God
Almighty.
John Adams
in a letter written to
Abigail on the day the
Declaration was approved
by Congress
I have
examined all religions,
as well as my narrow
sphere, my straightened
means, and my busy life,
would allow; and the
result is that the Bible
is the best Book in the
world. It contains more
philosophy than all the
libraries I have
seen." December
25, 1813 letter to Thomas
Jefferson
"Within
the covers of the Bible
are all the answers for
all the problems men
face. The Bible can touch
hearts, order minds, and
refresh
souls."
Ronald Reagan
"Indeed,
it is an indisputable
fact that all the complex
and horrendous questions
confronting us at home
and worldwide have their
answer in that single
book [the Bible.]"
Ronald Reagan
"In
want or in plenty, in
times of challenge or
times of calm, we always
have reasons to be
thankful. America is a
land of abundance,
prosperity, and hope.
...This Thanksgiving, we
again give thanks for all
of our blessings and for
the freedoms we enjoy
every day. Our Founders
thanked the Almighty and
humbly sought His wisdom
and blessing. May we
always live by that same
trust, and may God
continue to watch over
and bless the United
States of America."
--President George W.
Bush
The
three branches of the
U.S. Government:
Judicial, Legislative,
Executive
At the
Constitutional Convention
of 1787, James Madison
proposed the plan to
divide the central
government into three
branches. He discovered
this model of government
from the Perfect
Governor, as he read
Isaiah 33:22;
For the LORD is our
judge,
the LORD is our lawgiver,
the LORD is our king;
He will save us.
